Preschool

At Roots & Wings Preschool, we combine elements from the Tinkergarten and Blossom and Root curriculums. Our principle tenants are that nature is the classroom, class activities are open-ended, and each day will allow for meaningful learning and discovery. 

Kids will develop language, strategies, and habits that help build strong bodies, minds, and hearts. Creatures will be our teachers and our beautiful mountain landscape will be our inspiration. 

The majority of our time will be spent outdoors year-round, except in the event of very extreme weather. When inside, we will maintain the spirit of exploration and discovery. We emphasize play-based activities designed to build curiosity and organic learning. 

As we move through the 4 seasons, our curriculum will shift to different topics including: 

Fall: Our 5 senses and creativity

Winter: Persistence and wellness  

Spring: Empathy and problem solving

Summer: Communication and joy
